Tangerine Dream is the result of one of the best work done to date by Barney's Farm; a combination of G13 with Afghan and Neville's A5 Haze, a strain developed by the great breeder Nevil Schoenmakers at the end of the 80's which, for its part, combines Northern Light #5 with Haze.
Tangerine Dream has a vigorous growth; stands out for its ease to branch and form strong side branches that will need support to be able to hold the heavy buds it produces. Tangerine Dream performs very well in all types of methods; indoors, greenhouses and outdoors and succeeds in any substrate.
As the name suggests, this strain has an intense sour citrus flavor, reminiscent of freshly picked oranges and tangerines with hints of berries and tropical fruits. The aroma it produces is predominantly citric with notes of exotic fruits.
Its intense terpene profile together with the high concentration of cannabinoids produces a powerful effect that made Tangerine Dream the absolute winner of the 2010 cup. In the northern hemisphere it can be harvested in mid-October, while in the southern hemisphere it will be ready in mid-April. It will need the help of a plant support ring to support the weight of the buds on the side branches.
