Type and Uses
Prot-Eco's Dactyprot is a broad-spectrum natural preparation obtained through extracts from Urticaceae and Chia plants.
By using this product, a barrier against common insect pests, such as Thrips, Mealybugs, Aphids, Whitefly, and particularly against Caterpillars can be established.
This product acts by ingestion and contact, so it is recommended to generously wet both the upper and lower sides of the leaves. Its action is exerted on phytophagous (leaf-eating) insects, degrading the chitin of the exoskeleton on contact. When eaten by insects, it also acts as a hyper-excitant.
In case of serious Caterpillar infestation, it is recommended to use with Mobet or Esencial Prot. These wetting products help to penetrate less accessible parts, like the inside of the bud.
