Type and genetics
Laughing Buddha feminized seeds by Barney's Farm are the result of crossing two landraces from Jamaica and Thailand. The breeders at Barney's Farm have obtained a productive and extremely resinous hybrid, which never goes out of fashion.
Growth
This sativa-dominant cannabis strain has a fast and vigorous growth. Laughing Buddha stretches a little when it enters flowering, but it adapts perfectly to any type of method, both indoors and outdoors, as well as in greenhouses. The breeders recommend to support it with stakes during the last three weeks because the weight of its buds can exceed the branch.
Aroma and taste
The exotic aroma of this strain is reminiscent of tropical fruits, a sweet taste similar to mango, papaya, pineapple and notes of roasted bell pepper. To maintain all its sophisticated aroma and flavor we recommend that it is grown with organic fertilizers.
Effect
The effect of this strain is strong, especially at a mental level. It's a good companion during the day, and not recommended before going to sleep. Its name Laughing Buddha is accurate not only for its Thai genetics but also for the state of happiness and joy that it provokes.
Production
Laughing Buddha flowers with elongated sativa buds full of trichomes. Its buds contain numerous "sweet leaves" that you can take advantage of in extractions using the Polenmaker. The average yield of this strain is close to gram per watt in indoor grows. In outdoor grows, and sowing at the beginning of the season, you can reach a kilo per plant.
Flowering indoors
The average flowering time is about 11 weeks, under 12 hours of light per day. This plant needs lateral space to develop, and grown from cuttings it adapts very well to SOG crops, while from seeds or cuttings it develops very well with bending techniques such as Low Stress Training or using screens such as Screen of Green.
Flowering outdoors
In the northern hemisphere this strain will be ready to harvest at the end of October, while in the southern hemisphere it can be harvested at the end of April. It responds well to apical pruning and needs a plant support ring to support the weight of the flowering branches.
Sativa/Indica ratio
80% sativa 20% indica.
Cannabinoids
THC 20-22%.
CBD 1.6%.

La Huerta's opinion
This sativa-dominant strain is a classic, one of the most known and cultivated varieties of the Barney's Farm seed bank. It's not the easiest to grow, as it has a slightly longer flowering and needs stakes, but with little care it will provide great results.
