Key Lime Pie Terpenes by Cali Terpenes:
Key Lime Pie cannabis terpenes by Cali Terpenes is a blend of botanical terpenes presenting the olfactory profile (terpene profile) characteristic of the terpene extraction from the Key Lime Pie American cannabis strain ("Sour Lime" clone of Girl Scout Cookies).
Terpenes by Cali Terpenes are of 100% organic origin (plant-based).
For the creation of aromas (terpenes) by Cali Terpenes, certified raw materials of the highest quality from non-GMO, pesticide-free and pollutant-free cultivations are used.
The Key Lime Pie terpenes do not contain cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, CBN,…).
Main Terpenes in Key Lime Pie:
Caryophyllene, Myrcene, L-alpha-Pinene, D-Limonene, L-beta-Pinene, beta-Ocimene, Cineol, Linalool.
Cannabinoid Effect Modulation by Terpenes:
Key Lime Pie terpenes act synergistically with cannabinoids, modulating their effect and providing a positive, happy mental stimulation and physical relaxation.
Perfect for relieving everyday stress, lifting spirits, or stimulating appetite
Flavor and aroma of Key Lime Pie terpenes:
Key Lime Pie terpenes by Cali Terpenes have a fruity, citrusy lime aroma and flavor with sweet notes reminiscent of caramel.
Uses of Cali Terpenes:
The terpene profiles by Cali Terpenes serve many different applications, but in the cannabis and vaping sector, they're mainly used to add specific cannabis strain aroma and flavor to products such as:
- Vaporizer liquids (e-liquids)
- Cannabis extractions and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for "vape cartridges" creation…)
- Hemp flowers or cannabis flowers (buds)
Recommendations for Using Cali Terpenes:
Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, with no diluents or additives. They should be handled with caution and shouldn't be consumed without dilution (except for tastings via Cali Terpenes' borosilicate pipettes or vaporizers).
1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop for a 1ml dropper). 1 drop of terpenes equates to approximately 0.25% in a 10ml base:
1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%
2 drops in 10 ml = 0.50%
4 drops in 10ml = 1%
8 drops in 10ml = 2%
12 drops in 10ml = 3%
*We always recommend doing tests with lesser to greater amounts for any single base, as Cali Terpenes quickly provide intense flavor and aroma due to their 100% purity.
Vaporization Liquid Bases (e-liquids):
- The recommended terpene proportion to give sufficient flavor to e-liquid bases lies between 1 and 3% (going up to a maximum of 4% with 2% being the most common)
- As an example, let's assume you want to flavor a 10ml e-liquid base, contributing 2% of terpenes. For this, you'll add only 0.2ml of terpenes.
- In the same ratio, if you had a 100ml e-liquid base, you'd add 2ml of terpenes.
Cannabis extractions and concentrates:
- The recommended proportion of Cali Terpenes to offer adequate flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hash or hash, dry…), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates, lies between 1 and 3% of terpenes (being able to go up to a maximum of 4% with 2 to 3% being the most common).
- As an example, suppose you've 10gr of a cannabis concentrate, such as a distillate (commonly known as clear), and you want to add 3% of terpenes. To do this, you'll only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.
- It's very handy to do tests with lesser to greater amounts, for example: 1 drop for 3gr, 1 drop for 2gr, 1 drop for 1gr… perform a tasting after a few days to appreciate the result of the different proportions used, as this way you'll know the ideal proportion before mixing it with all the material.
- It's very important to do a good mix so that the result is homogeneous, in addition to leaving a resting time/maceration of at least 24/48h, so the terpenes will fully integrate.

Hemp or cannabis flowers:
Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds, hemp or cannabis. It's not recommended to add more than 4% of terpenes, and in some cases the percentage of aroma to apply should be even less since the flowers could contain some of their own terpenes. An excess of terpenes would result in intensely and possibly unpleasant aroma.
The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dried herbs is Terps Spray.
If you've small amounts of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic sprayer or similar to serve a similar (non-professional) purpose as the Terps Spray. It's also possible to use a desiccant paper with terpenes in the same container, but they tend to be more integrated when sprayed on the buds.
Storage of Terpenes:
Cali Terpenes Containers are perfect for the optimal storage of terpenes since they're equipped with a safety stopper, leak-proof disc, and screw cap.
- Whenever you're done using the product, replace all of these parts to prevent potential vaporization or contamination.
- Terpenes are volatile elements, hence we always recommend storing them in the cold, in the refrigerator (approx 7ºC), to prevent possible evaporation while working with them.
- The working temperature with terpenes shouldn't exceed 60ºC, thereby avoiding vaporization of the most volatile terpenes.
- Always keep the terpenes in their original packaging, as the material used (dark glass that doesn't allow UV) is perfect for the storage of thermo or photosensitive products. This will prevent any potential changes in color, losses, or cross-contaminations (terpenes can act as solvents and corrode residues of materials such as certain plastics).
Certificates of Cali Terpenes:
- Cali Terpenes S.L. is registered as an export company in the FDA (Food and Drugs Association).
- Its products comply with the European regulations for vaporization.
Awards:
- Award for the best post-harvest product at Spannabis 2019.
