The Jamaican Dream terpenes do not contain cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, CBN, etc.).
Primary Terpenes in Jamaican Dream:
Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Alpha-Pinene, Beta Pinene, Limonene, Terpinolene, Linalool, Nerodiol.
Terpenes' Modulation of the Effects of Cannabinoids:
The Jamaican Dream terpenes interact synergistically with cannabinoids, modifying their effect and bringing about a euphoric, creative, and fun sensation.
It’s great for elevating the mood
Jamaican Dream Terpenes' Taste and Aroma:
The Jamaican Dream terpenes by Cali Terpenes possess a sweet scent and taste with citrus elements and hazelnut-like nutty notes
Applications of Cali Terpenes:
The cannabis fragrances (terpene profiles) by Cali Terpenes have multiple applications, but in the cannabis and vaping sectors they’re primarily used for adding aromas and taste of specific cannabis strains to products such as:
- Vaping liquids (e-liquids).
- Cannabis extractions and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for "vape cartridges", etc).
- Hemp flowers or cannabis (buds).
Cali Terpenes Use Recommendations:
The Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, without any additives or diluents. They should be handled carefully and should not be taken undiluted (except for tastings using Cali Terpenes borosilicate droppers or vaporizers).
1ml of terpenes equals 40 drops (0.025ml per standard 1ml dropper drop). One drop of terpenes equates to roughly 0.25% in a 10ml base:
1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%
2 drops in 10ml = 0.50%
4 drops in 10ml = 1%
8 drops in 10ml = 2%
12 drops in 10ml = 3%
We always recommend conducting tests from smaller to larger quantities on the same base as Cali Terpenes provide a robust taste and scent due to their 100% purity.
Vaping Liquid Bases (e-liquids):
- The recommended terpene ratio for bestowing sufficient taste to e-liquid bases ranges between 1 and 3% of terpenes (up to 4% can be used with 2% being the norm).
- For example, let’s suppose you want to give 10ml of e-liquid base a taste having a 2% terpene content. You’d only need to add 0.2ml of terpenes.
- Following the same ratio, if you had 100ml of e-liquid base you should add 2ml of terpenes.
Cannabis Extracts And Concentrates:
- The recommended Cali Terpenes ratio to provide adequate taste and scent to dry extractions (classic hash or hashish, dry…), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates, etc. varies between 1 and 3% of terpenes (with a maximum of 4% and 2 to 3% being the most commonly used).
- For instance, let’s presume you have 10g of cannabis concentrate, like a distillate (commonly referred to as clear), and you wish to incorporate 3% terpenes. For this, you’d only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.
- It’s very helpful to do less to more quantity tests, for instance, 1 drop per 3g, 1 drop per 2g, 1 drop per 1g… and then taste test after a few days to appreciate the outcome of the varying ratios as this will allow you to identify the perfect ratio before mixing it with the entire material.
- It’s crucial to mix it properly to achieve a consistent result, and likewise leave it to rest/infuse for at least 24/48h so the terpenes are thoroughly incorporated.
Adding Terpenes To Rosin:
Adding Terpenes To Dry Extractions:
Adding Terpenes To Jelly Hash:
Hemp or Cannabis Flowers:
Terpenes can also be applied to add aroma to hemp or cannabis buds. It’s not recommended to apply more than 4% of terpenes, and in certain cases even less aroma should be used as the buds could retain some terpenes of their own. An excess of terpenes may result in an overly intense and potentially unpleasant aroma.
The ideal method of applying terpenes to buds, flowers, and dried herbs is via Terps Spray.
If you only have small quantities of buds on hand to work with, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic atomizer or similar to perform a function similar (though not as professional) like Terps Spray. Alternatively, terpenes can be added onto a porous paper in the same container, but they usually get more integrated when atomized, especially for buds.
Terpenes Storage:
The containers of the Cali Terpenes are designed for optimal terpene preservation and come with a safety stopper, weatherproof disk, and screw-top cap.
- Make sure to replace all of these components each time you’re done using the product, to avoid possible evaporation or contamination.
- Terpenes are volatile elements, hence, we always recommend storing them at low temperatures in the refrigerator (around 7ºC), to prevent potential evaporation while working with them.
- The working temperature with terpenes should not exceed 60ºC, this way you’ll avoid evaporation of the most volatile terpenes.
- Always keep the terpenes in their original packaging, as the material used (dark glass that blocks UV rays) is perfect for preserving heat or photosensitive products. This way you’ll avoid potential color changes, losses, or cross-contaminations (terpenes can act as diluents and corrode residue materials as is the case with some plastics).
Certificates of Cali Terpenes:
- Cali Terpenes, S.L has its operations registered with the FDA (Food and Drugs Association).
- Its products comply with the European regulations for vaping.
Awards:
- Awarded for the best post-cultivation product at Spannabis 2019.
