Temperature control
When it comes to growing cannabis indoors, there are various parameters that need to be taken into account. One of these necessary parameters is the temperature control; if it’s too hot or warm, plants may suffer a series of issues that may end up substantially ruining your harvest.
Importance of Temperature in Indoor Grows
Controlling the humidity in indoor grows is essential when it comes to guaranteeing the best results; parameters outside of the normal boundaries can make it easier for certain pathogens, fungi and insects to spread. The optimal temperature range in your indoor grow is between 20 and 27°C, with the ideal temperature sitting at 24 / 25°C.
Cannabis plants found growing under these temperatures for long amounts of time tend to have a slower metabolism and a much slower growth. Lower temperatures can even kill off your plants, especially lower temperatures in substrates and water.
On the other hand, if your plants are in too warm of an environment, they can suffer from heat stress, which weakens the plant and causes symptoms similar to nutrient deficiencies Plants in the flowering stage are even more likely to suffer from heat stress, so you’ll need to pay special attention to the temperature towards this final stage.
In order to know the temperature in your grow room, we have a thermos-hygrometer with a sensor, which allows you to know both the humidity and temperature of your grow room. Its practical sensor allows you to register the temperature along the top of your plants, where most heat tends to accumulate near the grow lights. On the other hand, we also stock suction thermometers which can be placed on many different surfaces; ideal for checking the temperature in your water.
Adjusting Low Temperatures
In indoor grows during the coldest periods of the year or in areas with colder climates tend to require a little extra help in order to increase the temperatures to the optimal range. At La Huerta Grow Shop we have some of the best heaters and controllers to make this job much easier.
Winter Heaters are ideal tools designed for keeping stable temperatures in propagators and small grow tents. It’s ideal for keeping clones and saplings in propagators during the colder months. This is important as it’s the stage in which your plants are the most vulnerable and at quite a delicate stage.
In order to heat up your water tank, we also have a water heater that can heat up to 100L of water, as well as being capable of heating medium-sized propagators.
On the other hand, our 2000w industrial heater is designed to cover larger grow rooms or tents that need a temperature adjustment. It comes with an internal thermostat that turns the heating on once the temperature gets low enough, and then it turns it back off once it’s within the right range.
Adjusting High Temperatures
Indoor grows done during the summer in small grow rooms or tents with strong grow lights can suffer issues regarding temperature if you don’t use the right tools to reduce temperatures. At La Huerta Grow Shop you can find the best extraction and AC systems designed for adjusting the temperature in grow tents or grow rooms.
In order to give your plants some fresh ait indoors, we have a portable VDL Air Conditioner with an efficient design; compact and portable thanks to its wheels. This device has an indicator on the top for checking water levels, and it’s available in two models; 1700FG and 3000FG.
On the other hand, the PK Extractor with temperature and spin control by Prima Klima is one of the most efficient extractors on the market, as it has a temperature control function via extraction. This extractor has a thermostat with a remote sensor for optimal control, and it’s quite silent – great for discreet growers.
Controllers and Timed Boxes
For those that have bigger needs, at La Huerta Grow Shop we have various different types of ventilation adjusters and timed boxes to keep your grow parameters stable at all times.
The Fan Controller is a device with which you can adjust the temperature using one or two fans in your grow room or tent. These devices are designed to keep a stable temperature and they’re incredibly easy to use. The Fan Controller Negative Pressure Reg. is designed for grows with an air inlet and outlet, keeping pressure low to avoid any aromas from getting through.
On the other hand, we also have Timer Box timers, available in different sizes; 4 x 600w, 8 x 600w, 12 x 600w. These boxes can easily be used to control various growing devices and they’re available with a heater outlet, so you can also control the temperature in your grow room while the lights are off.
