Cali Terpenes Cheese Terpenes:
The cannabis terpene profile of Cheese produced by Cali Terpenes is a blend of terpenes derived from botanical sources with the unique aromatic profile (the terpene profile) of the famously extracted terpenes from the UK's Cheese cannabis strain (Skunk x Afghani).
Cali Terpenes are 100% organically derived (plant-based).
To create the aromas (terpenes) of Cali Terpenes, certified raw materials of the highest quality are used. These come from non-GMO, pesticide-free and contaminant-free cultivation.
Cheese terpenes do not contain cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, CBN,…).
Main Terpenes in Cheese:
Caryophyllene, Myrcene, Limonene, Pinene, Linalol, Menthol, Nerolidol, Cineol.
Terpenes' modulation of cannabinoids effect:
Cheese terpenes work synergistically with cannabinoids, modulating their effects and providing a physically relaxing, mentally active, and enjoyable sensation.
Perfect for relieving stress, improving mood, and relaxing.
Flavor and aroma of Cheese terpenes:
Cali Terpenes' Cheese terpenes have an Old School Skunk aroma and flavor, with a distinct aftertaste of aged cheese and spices.
Applications of Cali Terpenes:
The cannabis aromas (terpene profiles) by Cali Terpenes are used in various applications. In the cannabis and vaping industry, they're mainly used to add the aroma and flavor of specific cannabis strains to products such as:
- Vaporizing liquids (e-liquids).
- Cannabis extracts and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for "vape cartridges” creation …)
- Hemp flowers or cannabis (buds).
Recommendations for use of Cali Terpenes:
Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, without diluting or adding anything. You must handle them with caution and they shouldn't be consumed undiluted (except for tasting in pipettes or borosilicate vaporizers by Cali Terpenes).
1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop of the 1ml dropper). One drop of terpenes represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml base:
- 1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%
- 2 drops in 10 ml = 0.50%
- 4 drops in 10ml = 1%
- 8 drops in 10ml = 2%
- 12 drops in 10ml = 3%
*We always recommend conducting tests from a smaller to a larger amount on the same base, as Cali Terpenes provide a strong flavor and aroma easily due to their 100% purity.
Liquid bases for vaporizing (e-liquids):
- The recommended terpene ratio to provide enough flavor to e-liquid bases is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (you can use up to 4% and the usual percentage is 2%).
- For example, suppose you want to flavor 10ml of e-liquid base, applying a 2% terpene amount. To do this, you'll add just 0.2ml of terpenes.
- Following the same ratio, if you have a 100ml of e-liquid base you'd add 2ml of terpenes.
Cannabis extracts and concentrates:
- The recommended Cali Terpenes ratio to provide enough flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hashish or dry hash, etc.), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates,... is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (you can use up to a maximum of 4% and the usual percentage is between 2 and 3%).
- For example, suppose you have 10g of cannabis concentrate. For instance, a distillate (commonly known as clear) and you want to add 3% of terpenes. For this, you'll just have to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.
- It is very useful to do tests from smaller to larger amounts, for example: 1 drop for 3g, 1 drop for 2g, 1 drop for 1g… After a few days perform a taste test to appreciate the result of the different ratios used. That way, you'll know the ideal ratio before mixing it with all the material.
- It is very important to achieve a good mix so the end result is homogeneous, and to leave a resting/maceration period of at least 24/48h. This allows the terpenes to fully integrate.

Hemp or cannabis flowers:
Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds, of hemp or cannabis. It is not recommended to add more than 4% of terpenes and in some cases the percentage of aroma to apply should be less because the flowers may contain some of their own terpenes. Too many terpenes would result in an excessively intense aroma and possibly unpleasant.
The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is through Terps Spray.
If you have small quantities of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic spray or similar to perform a task similar (not as professional) to Terps Spray. It is also possible to use a terpene-soaked blotting paper in the same container, but they're usually more integrated when sprayed on the buds.
Terpene preservation:
Cali Terpenes' containers are perfect for the ideal preservation of terpenes, as they come with a safety stopper, leak-prevention disc, and screw cap.
- Whenever you're done using the product, place all these elements back to prevent potential evaporation or contamination.
- Terpenes are volatile substances, so we always recommend preserving them in a cool space, such as a fridge (approximately 7ºC). This helps prevent potential evaporation while working with them.
- The working temperature with terpenes should not exceed 60ºC, to avoid the evaporation of more volatile terpenes.
- Always keep the terpenes in their original packaging, as the material used (dark glass that does not allow UV passage) is perfect for preserving thermo or photosensitive products. This avoids possible color changes, losses, or cross-contamination (terpenes can act as solvents and corrode leftovers from materials such as certain types of plastic).
Certificates of Cali Terpenes:
- Cali Terpenes S.L. is registered as an exporting business with the FDA (Food and Drugs Association).
- Their products meet the European vaping regulations.
Awards:
- Winner of the Best Post-Cultivation Product at Spannabis 2019 award.
