Type and Use
Canna Calcium CA 12% by Canna provides calcium, to resolve deficiencies of this micronutrient and to reconstitute osmotized water
Benefits in the Plant
- Calcium is a fundamental micronutrient for our plants. In the form of calcium pectate, it provides stability to the cell wall and promotes cell elongation. It helps the plant withstand heat-induced stress.
- As it's an almost immobile micronutrient, meaning it can't be stored in the leaves for later use by other leaves, it's essential to provide calcium throughout the plant's life cycle.
- In addition to solving deficiencies, calcium and magnesium are useful for reconstituting water from a reverse osmosis system.
Method of Use and Dosage
To resolve deficiencies, apply when watering at 1-2 ml per liter of water.
To reconstitute water coming from a reverse osmosis filter, first apply calcium until you reach an EC of 0.2 or 0.3 mS/m and add magnesium until you reach 0.4mS.

Calcium 12% total, Calcium Oxide 12%
Canna has transitioned from measuring its products in weight/weight to now weight/volume, the concentrations remain the same, only the way of expressing the product formulation has changed.
La Huerta's Opinion
Canna Calcium CA 12% has just the right ratio to be used alongside Canna Magnesium in equal proportions. Calcium nutritional deficiency is observed as rust spots on the leaves.
