Type and Use
Kilomix by Atami is a high-quality soil substrate with ample nutrients. Notable components of this substrate are calcium, guano and a plethora of other significant organic substances. These elements are released progressively, so it's paramount to avoid applying extra fertilizers until six or seven weeks after transplantation to prevent over-fertilization.
Benefits for the Plant
- Plants receive bountiful nutrients that are progressively and steadily released.
- Roots develop in an optimal and pest-pathogen free environment.
- The slow-release nutrients are utilized by the plant as per its needs whether in growth or flowering phase.
Composition
- Sphagnum peat moss, light sphagnum peat moss, perlite, lime, seabird guano, NPK fertilizer, worm humus.
- Contains 82.5% organic matter.

La Huerta's Opinion
Once the plant's in the pot with Kilomix, there's no need to apply fertilizer. Just provide good quality water with monitored pH for roughly 6 weeks. During the 5th and 6th week, it's crucial to check if the plants need additional fertilizer and if necessary, apply liquid fertilizer at low doses.
It's not recommended as a germination soil due to its high nutrient level, as it could cause over-fertilization depending on the strain.
