Type and Use
This product consists of expanded clay balls, of 8/16 mm granule caliber. They're used in hydroponic systems as a base for support, mixed in the soil substrate to achieve increased aeration of the roots and as drainage at the bottom of the pot in soil and coco substrates.
Plant Benefits
- Placing drainage at the bottom of the pot helps prevent root fungi as it prevents waterlogging.
- Improving substrate aeration encourages roots to grow more, resulting in larger plants and, simply put, a bigger final yield.
- The pores retain the moisture.
- Doesn't alter pH or EC, doesn't decompose, is inert, and free from pests or diseases.
How to Use
If used as drainage, place two fingers' worth of clay at the bottom of the pot.
